About WayFinder Yoga
Wayfinder | noun | a person navigating to a particular location
Why Wayfinder Yoga? Wayfinder is a way of summing up my passions and journey with yoga. Whether it's navigating to a new place, a new country, or a new part of your journey.
Yoga has helped steer me through challenging times as well as being the challenge, making me consider how I show up on the mat reflects life off the mat. Those can be some hard lessons but an incredible opportunity to lead you to places you didn't expect - like becoming a yoga teacher!
My mission with Wayfinder Yoga is to create a space that can help navigate you through your journey. I'm not a believer in one size fits all or that you have to do certain things and take specific steps for your experience to be valid. Your journey is uniquely your own. As your guide, I'll use prompts and inquiries to create opportunities for reflection that work for you. To support that, I share some of my experiences and reflections to give you options.
Whether through yoga asana practice, breathwork or meditation, the aim will always be to honour where you are today and where you're heading. Find joy, ease and acceptance along the way.

"I fell in love the way you fall asleep; slowly, and then all at once."
John Green
That's how my love of yoga started, a connection built over time and through understanding that's grown into a true passion. That is also why I became a yoga teacher, to share my love and knowledge in the hopes that you might also find something, although you might not know it yet! I aim to guide you through a practice of discovery that engages mind, body, and breath in union. Find your way.
I've found that yoga has complimented my other work as an HR professional, especially in the world of work post-pandemic that values and understands the importance of mental and physical well-being. The ability to combine these two worlds is a great gift I'm lucky to share with my corporate clients. As an Employee Relations lead in various businesses, I've had first-hand experience with cases of stress, anxiety and physical discomfort from repetitive activity. Burnout is very real and we are all likely to experience it to a degree during our working lives. My yoga practice has given me a toolbox of skills I can draw on for my well-being and that I've been able to share with others. Whether that is breath work you can do at your desk when feelings of overwhelm set in or movement to shake off the stiffness of desk-based work.
My approach to teaching is one of acceptance that all bodies are different and that we are all bringing our unique selves to the mat. With that in mind, I love working with people who are possibly new on their yoga journey and curious to explore to help them feel confident and empowered in their practice.
